Audi's Brussels plant will be producing the brand’s first all-electric SUV, the 2019 Audi Q6 e-tron.
The 2019 Audi Q6 e-tron, otherwise known as the Audi e-tron Quattro concept revealed at the 2015 IAA, will be entirely produced and assembled in Brussels. It will feature three batteries, providing SUV with a total range of more than 500 kilometers. The batteries will also be produced at the same Brussels plant.
With these changes the Audi production network is undergoing a significant shift in operations. The production of the Audi A1 will be moved to the Martorell production plant in Spain, while the Audi Q3 will be moved from Martorell to Audi’s production plant in Györ, Hungary. In Hungary, the Audi Q3 will join the production of four other Audi models. The Audi A3 Sedan, A3 Cabriolet, Audi TT and Audi TT Roadster are already being produced at the Hungarian production site.
